Be sure to mark your calendar and join us for our Sixth Annual NJ High School and Middle School Mountain Bike Championships and Kids’ Race on May 7th, 2011. This exciting event will again be held at Kittatinny Valley State Park in Andover, NJ, over a variety of trails, including flowing single track, rock gardens, and a fire-road climb.
The NJ HS/MS Championships and Kids’ Race have been highly popular since their inception by Team Bulldog in 2006. “Over the last five years we've averaged about 80 racers come who have come out and competed on five different age and ability graded courses. It was great to see so many excited kids and parents. We're hoping to have over 100 racers this year!” says Team President Brian Lariviere.
Racers from any state are eligible to enter, however the first NJ resident in each class will earn the title of New Jersey State Mountain Bike Champion. Participants must be currently enrolled in a Middle School (grades 6-8) or High School (grades 9-12) and must be age 18 or under. Mountain bikes in good working order are required and helmets are mandatory. For the kids’ race, any fat tire bike, including BMX, will do fine. Parents or guardians must be present and sign a release form before any student may compete. For more information, [click here] or email Brian (at) teambulldog (dot) com.
