The group of the four leaders is lead by Alachoyan, followed
closely by Ellister, Walters, and Lea as they pass through
the Start/Finish. Lea and Walters were able to put a little
time into the Ideal Tile men in the last lap. It was Lea and
Walters into the final 1/4 mile, where Lea put in his last
move over the final barrier and was able to edge out Walters
by 13 seconds. Ellister and Alachoyan took third and fourth,
respectively, with Martin Jones (Somerset Wheelmen)
rounding out the top five.
Bobby Lea (Fuji), Mark Walters (Navigators), Bill Ellister
(Ideal Tile) and Joseph Alachoyan (Ideal Tile) keep it together
around the pond after separating themselves from the rest
of the field.
